Minister Yerlikaya: We have apprehended the suspect who slapped a father

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the individual who slapped a father in front of his children in Kocaeli has been apprehended.

Minister Yerlikaya stated in a post on his social media account, "We have apprehended the suspect who slapped a father. It was determined that the suspect who slapped a father in the Gebze district of Kocaeli—after the father warned the driver for speeding on the street—in front of the children he was taking to school, is O.C. (33).

Following the work carried out by our Kocaeli Police Department, the suspect was apprehended in Istanbul," he said.

Urging citizens to call the 112 Emergency Call Center in urgent situations, Minister Yerlikaya said, "Violence against a father in front of his children is a behavior that directly threatens not only the children's sense of security but also the peace of our society.

We will continue to fight decisively against those who threaten social peace and against bullies who disregard traffic safety.

Call our 112 Emergency Call Center, and we will do what is necessary," he stated.
