Ministry announces: Cinema tickets to be 40 percent discounted for families
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that, as part of the 'Year of the Family' throughout 2025, families will receive a discount of up to 40 percent on cinema tickets on Mondays and Wednesdays. The project, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, aims to encourage families' participation in social life and strengthen family solidarity.

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş has announced a new project that will encourage families to participate more in social life, as part of the 'Year of the Family' declared by the President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Within the scope of the practice implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, families will be provided with a discount of up to 40 percent on cinema tickets on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout 2025.
Minister Göktaş stated that this practice, which aims to encourage family members to spend time together, will increase family solidarity and strengthen intergenerational bonds. The campaign, which will be valid in cinema theaters that are members of the Cinema Operators Association (SİSAY), will continue throughout the entire year.

Minister Göktaş stated, "As part of the Year of the Family, we attach importance to families taking an active role in social life. In this context, we will continue to support them with different activities. Cinema is an important cultural activity where family members can spend enjoyable time together. With this practice, we will facilitate families' access to art and culture and ensure they spend more time together."
