Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacts to Israel

The Ministry issued a statement regarding the Israeli National Security Minister's actions at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the decision taken by the Israeli Parliament.

In the statement, which called on Israel to end such actions that would further increase tension in the region, the provocation carried out against the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli security forces was condemned.

The statement read, "Along with this raid, the adoption of a resolution in the Israeli Parliament rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian State is another indication that Israel disregards international law and agreements. This decision by the Israeli Parliament is null and void." It was further noted that the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian State with geographical integrity and East Jerusalem as its capital, based on 1967 borders, is a requirement of international law.

Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, during his raid in the morning hours, shared a video statement he made in front of the Dome of the Rock on his social media account, saying that he had "come to pray at the most important place for Israel for the return of Israeli hostages (in Gaza) without a reckless deal and without surrender."
