The Israeli army reported that it struck Iran's missile production facilities, missile depots, and military bases in certain regions on Friday night.
It announced that "precise strikes were carried out against military targets in Iran in response to the Iranian regime's continuous attacks that have been ongoing for months."
Iranian state media reported that numerous explosions occurred in and around the capital, Tehran.
The Iranian army had stated that the attacks were successfully repelled.
