The Ministry issued a statement regarding the examination co-payment fee to be collected from individuals as part of the new practice launched, which allows family physicians to book hospital appointments for their registered patients via the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS).
The statement included the following information:
"For our citizens who are examined by our family physicians and referred to the relevant departments in our hospitals via the MHRS system, the co-payment will be collected with a 50 percent discount.
The discounted co-payment system operates through digital integration with the MHRS; therefore, the 50 percent discount quota cannot be applied to referrals made by writing on any paper outside of the MHRS system.
Our family physicians are currently using the 10 percent MHRS appointment quota defined for them in our hospitals.
As applications made by our citizens begin to fill this quota, our Ministry will increase the quota in stages."
