Ministry of Health responds to Oğuz Murat Aci allegations: Did the ambulance arrive late?

The Ministry of Health has issued a public statement regarding allegations that there was a delayed response to Oğuz Murat Aci, who lost his life in an ATV accident in Eyüpsultan, Istanbul, on March 1, 2024.

In the written statement issued by the Ministry, it was noted that a total of 5 ambulances were dispatched to the scene following the accident, stating, "The first ambulance arrived at the scene of the accident where the injured were located 11 minutes later."

OĞUZ MURAT ACI RECEIVED 20 MINUTES OF CPR AT THE SCENE

The statement indicated that the first intervention for Oğuz Murat Aci, who had no respiration or pulse, was performed at the scene, and included the following remarks:

"5 ambulances were dispatched from our center. The first ambulance arrived at the scene of the accident where the injured were located 11 minutes later. The first intervention for Murat Aci, who had no respiration or pulse, was performed at the scene. Despite 20 minutes of CPR, a pulse could not be restored; however, because the patient was young, intervention continued in the ambulance as well. Murat Aci was transported to the hospital in 25 minutes. While the total time elapsed until arrival at the hospital was 56 minutes, 45 minutes of this time were spent intervening on the patient."
