A statement was issued by the Ministry of Interior following the armed attacks that took place in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş. In the statement made by the Ministry of Interior, it was stated, "The armed attack that occurred at one of our schools in Kahramanmaraş has deeply saddened us all.
We pray for God's mercy upon our children and our teacher who lost their lives in this tragic incident; we extend our condolences to their families, our educational community, and our dear nation. We wish a speedy recovery to our injured citizens. From the very first moment of the incident, our state has been on the ground with all its institutions. The process is being carried out in a multi-faceted and meticulous manner, covering security, judicial, administrative, and educational dimensions. As the Ministry of Interior, our civil and police chief inspectors have been assigned.
The judicial process is being conducted with sensitivity under the coordination of our Ministry of Justice. Our Ministry of National Education has also initiated an administrative investigation process with four chief inspectors. Our Ministry of Family and Social Services will meticulously carry out the rehabilitation processes for our children and their families affected by the attack," it was said.
'WE WILL HOLD A COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION MEETING'
In the statement, which mentioned that an online meeting would be held at 09:00 in the morning with governors, provincial police chiefs, provincial gendarmerie commanders, and provincial directors of national education, it was stated, "At 09:00 in the morning, we will come together with our governors, provincial police chiefs, provincial gendarmerie commanders, and provincial directors of national education to hold a comprehensive evaluation meeting.
In this meeting, which we will hold with the participation of our Minister of National Education, Mr. Yusuf Tekin, we will address the measures for the security of our schools and their surroundings in all their dimensions and will rapidly implement the necessary steps. Ensuring that our children receive an education in peace and safety is our most fundamental priority.
In this direction, we are working in strong coordination with all our relevant ministries and institutions," the statements were included.
In the statement, which mentioned that security measures in schools have been increased, it was said, "Necessary actions are also being resolutely taken against those who attempt to create provocations over this painful incident, exploit our nation's grief, praise crime and criminals, and spread disinformation.
Our Cyber Crimes, Intelligence, Security, and Public Order Departments are exerting maximum effort with all their units. Security measures in our schools have been increased.
Our cyber patrol activities on social media are being carried out uninterruptedly and with great meticulousness. Our state is strong. Our institutions are in coordination," it was said.
