It was alleged that Council of State Judge A.H. had been shot in the head and seriously wounded as a result of an armed attack.
The Ministry of Justice denied the reports of an armed attack. The Ministry announced that Council of State Judge A.H. had attempted suicide with his licensed firearm at the hotel where he was staying.
The statement from the Ministry of Justice is as follows:
“Council of State Judge A.H. attempted suicide with his licensed firearm in his hotel room in Mardin; he was intervened by 112 Emergency Service teams and transferred to Mardin Research Hospital. His life remains in danger. The reports presented as an armed attack are not true."
