Ministry of National Defense: '1 soldier martyred in Pençe-Kilit Operation region'
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that Infantry Contracted Private Salih Ay was martyred and one soldier was wounded in a clash that broke out during an infiltration attempt by terrorists into a base area in the Pençe-Kilit Operation region. It was stated that, according to initial reports, 6 terrorists have been neutralized.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of National Defense, it was noted: "On February 17, 2024, in the Pençe-Kilit Operation region, members of the terrorist organization attempted to infiltrate one of our base areas. In the ensuing clash, our heroic comrade-in-arms, Infantry Contracted Private Salih Ay, was martyred, and one of our heroic comrades-in-arms was wounded.
Our wounded personnel was immediately transferred to a hospital and treatment has begun," the statement said.
6 TERRORISTS NEUTRALIZED
According to the statement from the MSB, 6 terrorists were neutralized according to initial reports following the clash in the region. Operations in the area are ongoing.
