Ministry of National Defense announces: 1 soldier martyred, 4 soldiers wounded in Operation Claw-Lock region

The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) has announced that 1 soldier was martyred and 4 soldiers were wounded in the Operation Claw-Lock region.

The statement from the Ministry is as follows:

"In the Operation Claw-Lock region, one of our heroic comrades-in-arms was martyred and four of our heroic comrades-in-arms were wounded during an infiltration and attack attempt by members of the separatist terrorist organization; they were immediately evacuated to the hospital and their treatment has begun. According to initial reports, 6 terrorists have been neutralized in the ensuing contact. Operations in the region are ongoing.

We wish God's mercy upon our dear martyr who lost his life in this incident that has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, and we extend our condolences and patience to his grieving family, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation, and wish a speedy recovery to our wounded comrades-in-arms."

27-year-old Medical Lieutenant Hulusi Elçi was martyred as a result of a treacherous attack by terrorists in the Operation Claw-Lock region, which is being conducted in northern Iraq. The sad news reached his family in Bingöl.
