Ministry of National Defense announces: 1 soldier martyred in Ağrı

The Ministry of National Defense reported that Infantry Specialist Sergeant Yusuf Açay was martyred in a military vehicle accident that occurred in the Doğubeyazıt district of Ağrı.

In a written statement issued by the Ministry, it was stated: "Our heroic comrade-in-arms, Infantry Specialist Sergeant Yusuf Açay, has been martyred in a military vehicle accident that occurred in Ağrı/Doğubeyazıt. We wish God's mercy upon our dear martyr who lost his life in this incident that has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, and we extend our condolences and patience to his grieving family, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation."
