Ministry of National Defense announces: Air operations conducted in Iraq and Syria

The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that air operations were conducted in northern Iraq and Syria.
It was stated that 25 terror targets were destroyed as a result of the air operations.
"25 TARGETS HAVE BEEN DESTROYED"
The statement regarding the air operations conducted by the Ministry of National Defense is as follows:
"In line with our rights of legitimate self-defense arising from Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, in order to neutralize PKK/YPG/KCK and other terrorist elements, to eliminate terror attacks against our people and security forces from northern Iraq and Syria, and to ensure our border security, Air Operations were carried out on January 13, 2024, at 21:00 against terrorist targets in the Metina, Hakurk, and Qandil regions of northern Iraq and in northern Syria. With the air operations carried out, 25 targets consisting of caves, bunkers, ammunition/material depots, and shelters used by the Separatist Terrorist Organization (BTÖ), which were assessed to also contain terrorists at the leadership level, were destroyed.
In these operations, a large number of terrorists were neutralized by using the maximum amount of domestic and national ammunition.
The Turkish Armed Forces, which emerged from the heart of our noble nation, will continue the fight against terrorism with determination and resolve until the last terrorist is neutralized, for the survival and security of our country and nation, just as it has in the past.
During these operations, every measure was taken to ensure that innocent people, friendly elements, historical and cultural assets, and the environment were not harmed."
