The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) has reported that 6 F-16 fighter jets and air defense systems have been deployed to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) within the scope of plans to enhance the security of the TRNC.
STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY
The following statement was included in the written announcement made by the Ministry:
"Within the scope of recent developments in our region and as part of the phased planning carried out to enhance the security of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, 6 F-16 fighter jets and air defense systems have been deployed to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as of today. Following assessments based on developments, additional measures will continue to be taken if deemed necessary."
