The statement from the Ministry of National Defense is as follows:
In the Claw-Tiger operation region, our heroic comrade-in-arms, Infantry Contracted Corporal Recep KABALA, has been martyred as a result of a weapons accident.
We wish God's mercy upon our dear martyr who lost his life in this incident that has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, and we extend our condolences and patience to his grieving family, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation.

A condolence message for the soldier who was martyred in the weapons accident came from CHP Chairman Özgür Özel. In his post, Özel included the following statements:
