In the written statement issued by the MSB, it was stated, "On February 5, 2025, in the Pençe-Kilit operation zone, our heroic comrade-in-arms, Infantry Commando Major Murat Kemal Yetişen, was martyred in a clash that broke out with members of the separatist terrorist organization during search and clearance activities.
