Ministry of National Education announces: LGS scores to be recalculated!

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) stated in its announcement that, in accordance with the provision in the exam guide stating that 'scoring is performed by excluding questions decided to be cancelled from the evaluation and recalculating the point value of the valid questions', the 13th question of the Science test in booklet A was excluded from the evaluation and a re-evaluation was conducted. While the Ministry announced that scores would be recalculated, students who became eligible for placement in their higher-ranked preferences were granted a new enrollment right.

'STUDENTS' RIGHTS TO THE SCHOOLS THEY WERE PLACED IN HAVE BEEN PROTECTED'

Emphasizing that students' rights would be protected against any grievances, the Ministry of National Education made the following statement:

“To ensure that no student experiences any grievances, the rights of all students regarding the schools they were placed in have been protected. Students who became eligible for placement in their higher-ranked preferences as a result of the score recalculation have been granted a new enrollment right. These students will be able to remain in their current schools if they do not wish to exercise their new enrollment right. The process to be followed by the relevant students will be notified to them separately via SMS and e-Okul. If students who have gained the right to enroll in a new school after the evaluation wish to use this right, their applications will be received via e-Okul between September 14-20, and their registrations will be made automatically as of September 21. Thus, it has been prevented that students with transfer rights experience any grievances throughout the year with the additional quotas defined. Students who are placed in their higher-ranked preference as a result of the re-placement will be able to learn their results at https://e-okul.meb.gov.tr.”
