The Ministry of National Education has issued a statement following complaints that some companies and individuals have been using the names of Ministry units and unit heads to identify firms doing business with or applying to the Ministry via EKAP, and subsequently contacting these firms by phone or other means to request money under various pretexts.

In a statement made on the Ministry's social media account, it was noted: "It should be known that it is absolutely out of the question for our Ministry to request money from companies through such illegitimate ways and methods under the guise of social assistance, donations, sponsorships, or any similar name.

In order to prevent our citizens and companies from suffering any grievances, it is kindly requested that no credence be given to such baseless and illegal demands made using the name of our Ministry or our administrators, that no payments be made, and that no personal or corporate information be shared.

Legal proceedings have been initiated regarding these fraud attempts, and criminal complaints have been filed with the relevant authorities against those responsible."
