Ministry of Trade launches 'Kent Lokantası' investigation into Vedat Milor

The Ministry of Trade's General Directorate of Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance has requested a "written statement" from Vedat Milor, citing "covert advertising" in relation to a video he shared on his YouTube account titled "Four-Course Meal for 40 Lira: Is This Price Real?" while dining at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Kent Lokantası.

According to a report by Oda TV, the letter sent by the ministry stated: "Information is required regarding whether the aforementioned promotions were published in other media outlets, and if so, which media outlets and on what dates; originals of those published in print media; audio and video recordings of those published in broadcast media; the name of your Tax Office and your organization's tax identification number, if applicable; your registered electronic mail (KEP) address, if applicable; your official notification address; and, if applicable, the full title of your organization, a copy of your professional chamber activity certificate, a copy of your company's articles of association, and a document showing your income status (most recent annual tax return and its annexes, income statement, balance sheet, etc.)."
