The Ministry of Trade continues to inform the public about products found to be unsafe as part of its market surveillance and inspection activities. In a notification dated March 7, 2025, it was announced that blue school uniforms produced in Toroslar, Mersin, contain harmful chemicals.
The Ministry stated that the sale of this product, which threatens children's health, has been banned and that it will be recalled from the market. In the statement made via the Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS), it was emphasized that the product contains chemical substances at levels that could harm human health.
POSES A SERIOUS RISK TO CHILDREN
Experts state that chemical substances used in children's clothing can lead to serious health problems when they come into contact with the skin. Such chemicals, which can cause long-term health problems, particularly respiratory and skin diseases, can negatively affect children's immune systems.
