The Ministry issued a written statement regarding footage circulating on some social media platforms from a private care home in Istanbul.

The statement reported that an inspection was immediately launched upon the incident, which occurred on April 27, being brought to the Ministry's attention, and that the incident took place at the Özel Huzur Vadisi Bakım Merkezi (Private Huzur Vadisi Care Center) operating in the Kavaklı district of Beylikdüzü, Istanbul.

"THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OF THE RELEVANT PERSONNEL HAS BEEN TERMINATED"

The statement, which conveyed that the identity of the person in the footage has been determined, noted that the employment contract of the relevant personnel was immediately terminated and that a judicial process has been initiated against them, adding the following:

"The disabled individual affected by the incident has been transferred to a hospital, the necessary medical intervention has been performed, and the treatment and follow-up process is being carried out meticulously. An inspection process has been initiated by our Ministry regarding the facility in question. Investigations are continuing in all aspects, and we act with a zero-tolerance policy against any form of mistreatment toward our disabled individuals. All stages of the process are being closely monitored by our Ministry."
