Ministry statement regarding foreigners under protection

The Ministry of Interior has issued a statement regarding Syrians in Turkey and foreigners under international protection. 

In the statement made by the Ministry of Interior on its official social media account,

“Procedures concerning Syrians under temporary protection in our country and foreigners under international protection are not conducted through notaries. Residence permit is a legal status requested by foreigners such as those coming for scientific research purposes, those establishing commercial connections or businesses, those coming for education and tourism purposes, and those married to a Turkish citizen.

The protocol in question, carried out with the Notaries Union, only covers the residence permit application processes of foreigners coming to our country for the specified purposes. However, certain circles continue to distort the facts by spreading disinformation. We will continue to inform our dear nation correctly against all these perception management efforts,” the statement read.
