MIT conducts precision operation in Hakurk: PKK bomb experts neutralized
The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has neutralized Bahar Akyol, codenamed "Faraşin Gabar," and Nurbahar Karadağlı, codenamed "Tijda Jiyan," in Hakurk, northern Iraq. The two were responsible for preparing the improvised explosive devices (IEDs) used in attacks by the PKK/KCK terrorist organization.

According to information obtained from security sources, the terrorists, who had been under long-term surveillance by MIT, were identified in the Hakurk region as Bahar Akyol and Nurbahar Karadağlı.
Akyol and Karadağlı, who prepared the improvised explosive devices used by the organization in terror attacks, were neutralized in an operation conducted by MIT in Hakurk while they were preparing bomb mechanisms and IEDs.
It was learned that Akyol, a member of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization, took part in the trench-barricade incidents in the Cizre district of Şırnak in 2015, and joined the so-called rural cadres of the PKK/KCK after those events concluded.
It was reported that Akyol, who received weapons training in the organization's camps in Iraq, was in Haftanin in 2019 and in Hakurk in 2020, and that she specialized in attacks and sabotage while operating in Hakurk.
It was reported that Karadağlı, who joined the PKK/KCK terrorist organization in 2014, moved to the rural areas of Hakurk in 2023, where she received training in attacks and sabotage.
