The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has neutralized Şirvan Hasan, one of the so-called leaders of the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, in an operation.
According to information obtained from security sources, the operation was launched after the location of Şirvan Hasan, codenamed Roni Velat, a PKK/YPG member and so-called field commander in the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor, was identified.
It was determined that Şirvan Hasan participated in terrorist acts against security forces in Turkey between 2011, 2012, and 2013, and had been active in Syria since 2013. He was neutralized on December 5, 2023, in a precision operation carried out in Deir ez-Zor, approximately 230 kilometers from Turkey.
