MIT neutralizes PKK terrorist preparing for an attack

Ahmet Al Hac Ömer, a PKK/YPG terrorist preparing for an attack against the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and Syrian National Army (SNA) forces, has been captured with the intelligence support of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT).

MIT has captured PKK/YPG terrorist Ahmet Al Hac Ömer, who was preparing for an attack against the Turkish Armed Forces.

According to information obtained from security sources, it was determined that terrorist Ömer, who was trained by the terrorist organization in the use of bomb mechanisms and assassination tactics, was involved in the transport of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in and around Manbij between 2022 and 2023.

The terrorist, who was identified as preparing for an attack against the Turkish Armed Forces and Syrian National Army forces in areas cleared of terrorism by the TSK, was taken into custody by the military police affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government with intelligence support provided by MIT.

During a search of the terrorist's residence, a remote-controlled IED, ready for use in assassinations and bombing attacks, was seized.
