According to information obtained from security sources, Ahmet Kazancı, who played an active role in the organization's media activities and had been under surveillance for a long time, was captured and taken into custody in the operation.

Within the scope of the efforts carried out by MIT, an operation was organized against the media structure operating within the so-called Khorasan Province of ISIS.

It was reported that Ahmet Kazancı, who is said to have used the codenames "Abu Ubaydah" and "Abu İbrahim," was captured in the operation.

According to information provided by security sources, it was assessed that Ahmet Kazancı undertook critical tasks in the execution of ISIS's propaganda and media activities.

It was stated that Kazancı held an important position within the organization's media structure and was actively operating within the so-called Khorasan Province's media network.

Investigations revealed that Ahmet Kazancı had replaced Özgür Altun, known as the Turkish Media Officer of ISIS, who used the codename "Abu Yasir Al Turki."
