Model Simurg Sarsılmaz has become a candidate for the position of neighborhood head (muhtar) in the Kaynartepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district for the March 31 local elections.

As the March 31 local elections approach, the candidates have become clear. The race, in which neighborhood heads (muhtars) will be elected alongside mayors and local officials across the country, features some notable candidates.

One of those candidates has emerged from the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır. Model Simurg Sarsılmaz announced that she is a candidate for neighborhood head in the Kaynartepe neighborhood.

Sarsılmaz, who will compete against 4 men, said in a post on her social media account, "I am a candidate for neighborhood head in Kaynartepe, Bağlar, Diyarbakır! I am seeking your votes."
