In Istanbul, the suspect who murdered his brother, Tahir Çubu, with whom he had a dispute over money, was captured in a cinematic operation. Following a month-long pursuit, homicide detectives identified the suspect entering a market, and the moment of the operation was captured second-by-second on security cameras.

The incident occurred on January 25, 2024, in Başakşehir.

According to allegations, a dispute broke out between two brothers, Tahir Çubu and F.Çubu, who were at odds over a financial matter.

HE MURDERED HIS BROTHER

Following the argument, F.Çubu drew his weapon and opened fire on his brother. Tahir Çubu was wounded by the gunfire. While the suspect brother fled the scene, Tahir Çubu, who was rushed to the hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions. Following the incident, teams from the Homicide Bureau launched an investigation.

MOMENT OF ARREST CAUGHT ON CAMERA

Homicide detectives, who conducted extensive work to determine the suspect's whereabouts, received information that the suspect brother was hiding in the Silivri region.

Police teams working in Silivri found the suspect's trail at a market.

Homicide bureau teams entered the market like customers, following the suspect who had gone in to shop. The suspect was surrounded inside the market and apprehended in a short time. The moments of his arrest were recorded second-by-second by the market's security camera footage.

The suspect was taken to the Public Security Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau and was referred to the courthouse following the procedures.
