Moment of silence to be held for martyrs at football matches

The TFF has announced that a one-minute moment of silence will be held at matches played this week for the soldiers who were martyred in the Operation Claw-Lock region.

In a condolence message published on the TFF's website, it was stated: "We wish God's mercy upon our heroic soldiers who fell as martyrs in the clash with members of the treacherous terrorist organization in the Operation Claw-Lock region; we extend our condolences to their grieving families, our Turkish Armed Forces, and our nation, and wish a speedy recovery to our wounded soldiers. In memory of our beloved martyrs, a 1-minute moment of silence will be held before all matches to be played on January 13, 14, and 15. Our clubs will take the field wearing black armbands."

Condolence messages for the martyrs from the sports community

Sports federations and clubs also published condolence messages for the soldiers who were martyred in the Operation Claw-Lock region.

The Turkish Football Federation, the Turkish Basketball Federation, the Turkish Volleyball Federation, and numerous federations and clubs, led by Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, and Trabzonspor, shared condolence messages on their websites and social media accounts.
