More than 300,000 candidates to take the DGS this weekend

The President of the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy, stated that 312,855 candidates will participate in the Vertical Transfer Examination for Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programs (2024-DGS), which will be held on June 30.

Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) President Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy stated in his announcement that for the exam, which will be administered in 81 provinces and Nicosia across 105 exam centers for students wishing to continue their two-year vocational school education by transferring to 4-year undergraduate programs, 903 buildings and 13,510 halls will be used, and 43,299 personnel, including security officers, will be on duty.

Stating that an aptitude test consisting of quantitative and verbal sections will be administered in the DGS, Ersoy said, "The exam will start at 10:15 and the answering time will be 135 minutes. There will be a total of 100 questions, 50 quantitative and 50 verbal. The test to be administered in the exam will consist of multiple-choice questions."

Reminding candidates that it would be in their best interest to be present at the exam buildings at least one hour before the exam, ÖSYM President Ersoy stated that candidates will not be admitted to the exam buildings after 10:00 and wished success to all candidates who will take the exam.

Provincial and district population directorates will remain open on the day of the exam for candidates who do not have an identity card or whose identity card does not contain an identification number and photograph.
