'Most Beautiful Sacrificial Animal' competition held
The "Most Beautiful Sacrificial Animal" competition, organized by Sultangazi Municipality for Eid al-Adha, featured colorful scenes. A 1-ton sacrificial animal named "Gaza," brought from Çankırı, took first place and won its owner a full gold coin. The owners of the second and third-place animals were also awarded half and quarter gold coins, respectively.

Sultangazi Municipality organized a "Most Beautiful Sacrificial Animal" competition for Eid al-Adha. Sacrificial animals brought from all corners of Turkey took the stage to compete for first place in the now-traditional Most Beautiful Sacrificial Animal Competition.
The owners carefully decorated their animals before presenting them to the jury. The animals were evaluated based on an 8-point scoring system, focusing primarily on body structure, weight, and general appearance.
Based on the criteria, the jury announced the winner. A 1-ton animal named "Gaza," brought from Çankırı, succeeded in taking first place in the competition. "Champion," raised in Çankırı, came in second, while "Terminator," raised in Kastamonu, placed third.
The first-place winner earned its owner a full gold coin, the second-place winner a half gold coin, and the third-place winner a quarter gold coin.
The honorable mention award went to "Cabbar," raised in Kastamonu.
The awards were presented by Sultangazi Deputy Mayor Yakup Dalkılıç.
