The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has prepared a new regulation for motorcycle couriers.

THE 'AT YOUR DOOR IN 30 MINUTES' PROMISE IS BECOMING A THING OF THE PAST

According to a report by NTV, the most notable detail in the draft prepared by the ministry is the clause regarding delivery times, such as "at your door in 30 minutes." Couriers will no longer be able to make delivery time commitments for the shipments they receive. They will be obligated to deliver to the recipient within a reasonable timeframe.

The draft also includes innovations regarding courier vehicles. Motorcycles to be registered for courier delivery cannot be older than 10 years, and automobiles cannot be older than 20 years.

COMPANIES WILL PROVIDE PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Another important clause in the draft is that couriers must now have the word "Courier" on their reflective vests. Authorization certificate holders will also be obligated to provide protective equipment to the couriers they employ.
