A suspect who stole 5 motorcycles in 3 months in Adana defended himself in a bizarre way. The suspect said, "I stole and sold the motorcycles to cover the legal fees of an acquaintance."

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on April 15 at around 19:30 in front of a hotel in the Kuruköprü neighborhood of the Seyhan district. The suspect, Süleyman H. (21), and an accomplice whose name was not disclosed, decided to steal Ömer Ö.'s parked motorcycle.

While Süleyman H. tried to hotwire the motorcycle, his friend acted as a lookout under the pretext of talking on his mobile phone.

The suspects got on the motorcycle, which they started without paying any attention to the alarm going off, and fled the scene.

Following the report by Ömer Ö., who could not find his motorcycle, teams from the Auto Theft Bureau launched an investigation into the incident.

Identifying Süleyman H. through security camera footage, the police determined that he had stolen 5 more motorcycles within 3 months. The suspect, whose address was identified, was caught while walking on a street in the Dağlıoğlu neighborhood of the Seyhan district.

In his statement at the police station, Süleyman H. defended himself by saying, “After stealing the motorcycle, we went to a restaurant to eat something. When we got up from the table, we saw that the motorcycle had been stolen. I stole and sold the previous motorcycles to cover the legal fees of an acquaintance.”

After his procedures at the police station, Süleyman H. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court. It was reported that while the stolen motorcycles have not been found, efforts to apprehend the fugitive suspect are ongoing.
