The new members of the Central Decision and Administrative Board (MKYK) were announced at the AKP's 8th Ordinary Congress. The list included a significant number of former IYI Party deputies.
Ankara Deputy Kürşad Zorlu, Konya Deputy Ünal Karaman, Istanbul Deputy Seyithan İzsiz, Kayseri Deputy Dursun Ataş, and Eskişehir Deputy Nebi Hatipoğlu, who resigned from the IYI Party and transferred to the AKP, took their places on the new Central Decision and Administrative Board list.
Before the program began, Ünal Karaman, Dursun Ataş, and Salim Ensarioğlu entered the hall holding hands, drawing reactions from IYI Party members.
Commenting on the former IYI Party members who posed smiling, IYI Party Media and Publicity Chair and Tekirdağ Deputy Selcan Taşçı remarked, "If you have no shame, there is no problem."
Another reaction came from IYI Party Denizli Deputy Yasin Öztürk.
Alluding to 'dollars' in reference to Ünal Karaman, Öztürk stated, "He supposedly said he could never love politics; it turns out he has become a professional deputy."
