“Kuyu-29” operation against Muğla-based criminal organization: 14 suspects captured

The Gendarmerie has dismantled the “Yılmazlar” organized crime group, led by Ahmet Tanyel, in the “Kuyu-29” operation conducted across 4 provinces centered in Muğla. As a result of the operation, 14 members of the organization were taken into custody.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced in a statement on his social media account that the Gendarmerie conducted the “Kuyu-29” operation against the “Yılmazlar” organized crime group, led by Ahmet Tanyel, in 4 provinces centered in Muğla. As a result of the operation, the organized crime group was dismantled. 14 suspects who were members of the organization were captured.

Minister Yerlikaya's statement included the following expressions:

The “KUYU-29” operation was conducted by the Gendarmerie against the “Yılmazlar” organized crime group, led by Ahmet Tanyel, in 4 provinces centered in Muğla.

 

As a result of the operation, the organized crime group was dismantled. 14 suspects who were members of the organization were captured.

 

I would like our noble nation to know that;

We are determined to dismantle organized crime groups, no matter their size, and bring them to justice.

 

Under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command's KOM Department; as a result of the work carried out by the Muğla Provincial Gendarmerie Command, it was determined that the suspects, who are members of the organized crime group, committed the following crimes by using pressure and force against businesses operating in the Menteşe district of Muğla:

Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes,

Intentional Injury,

Production and Trafficking of Drugs and Stimulants,

Violation of Law No. 6136, and

Qualified Plunder.

 

As a result of the operation:

2 unlicensed pistols,

2 unlicensed hunting rifles,

Various amounts of narcotic substances,

A large number of mobile phones, promissory notes, licenses, license plates, POS devices, and hard disks were seized.
