Following the decisions made by the Constitutional Court and the Court of Cassation regarding TİP MP Can Atalay, all eyes in Parliament had turned to the Office of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Under the chairmanship of Bekir Bozdağ, who took over the duty due to the overseas visit of Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, Can Atalay's parliamentary membership was revoked.
The decision was carried out during a closed session due to the reactions and protests that took place in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Memleket Party Chairman Muharrem İnce, in a statement he made on his X account, said, "The Constitutional Court has issued a 'violation of rights' decision regarding Can Atalay. Can Atalay should be in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, not in prison. It is wrong for the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to revoke Can Atalay's parliamentary membership."
Anayasa Mahkemesi, Can Atalay hakkında 'hak ihlali' kararı vermiştir. Can Atalay, cezaevinde değil TBMM'de olmalıdır. TBMM'nin, Can Atalay'ın Milletvekilliğini düşürmesi yanlıştır.
