Evaluating the expulsion announcement as a wrong decision taken during a sensitive period, Muharrem İnce used the following expressions on his social media account:
"In the statement I made on June 9, 2026, I stated that the CHP, which has fallen into the trap of the Palace Regime, must absolutely remain standing without being divided or fragmented, and I emphasized that the process should be managed with composure and that discourse and actions that alienate the Party should be avoided.
The MYK, which came to the CHP administration with a decision of nullity, referred CHP deputies to the High Disciplinary Board with a request for permanent expulsion with precautionary measures at its meeting today.
This decision, which is contrary to the law, incompatible with the values and principles of democracy, and blocks the space for intra-party democratic struggle and consensus, is not only politically wrong but also serves no purpose other than to fragment and divide the CHP.
Political parties are not command-and-control centers, but areas of representation where political activities are freely conducted based on party ideology and party discipline. It is the most natural right of everyone engaged in politics in the CHP to be a candidate for party organs, to support one of the candidates, and to engage in activities to gather the support of others.
While there is no finalized court decision requiring expulsion from the party, it is unacceptable to take such a wrong decision during such a sensitive period.
I would like to repeat that the CHP needs to stand tall, not by being fragmented, but with all its cadres hand in hand, arm in arm, shoulder to shoulder, and with heads held high.
For this reason, I request that the MYK, which took this wrong decision, reconsider and withdraw their wrong decision, considering the benefit of our country and our party."
