While the default of Pusula Portföy's Money Market Fund (PPF), sharp fluctuations in Katılımevim shares, and transactions carried out through Tera Yatırım caused major drops in the BIST 100 index, the Capital Markets Board (CMB) determined and announced the liquidation procedures and principles for investment funds decided to be liquidated.

Former CHP deputy Muharrem İnce asked questions regarding the CMB chairman: "Who is the official watching this entire disgraceful process? Experts are hired through exams; did this friend get into the CMB through an exam?"

In a statement made on his social media account, İnce used the following expressions:

"Who is the official watching this entire disgraceful process? The previous CMB Chairman, İbrahim Ömer Gönül.

Who is this friend? The son of Vecdi Gönül.

CMB experts are hired through exams. Did this friend get into the CMB through an exam? No. He entered through a made-up exceptional position as a public relations specialist, without an exam, through nepotism.

What jobs did he do at the CMB? Paperwork clerk, personnel manager; he isn't even an expert!

What is his first job listed on his CV (see his LinkedIn profile)? CMB Vice Chairman (I wonder why he didn't write his previous positions!)

What position does he hold now? Chairman of the Public Oversight, Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority!

Will he continue to remain in this position? God only knows.

Who is the current CMB Chairman who blamed this disgrace on the previous term with an official statement? Mahmut Sütçü.

What position did Mahmut Sütçü hold while İbrahim Ömer Gönül was CMB Chairman? CMB Second Chairman.

You don't have just one hole to patch, nor just one death to mourn!"
