Muharrem İnce's striking observation on teacher appointment figures: 'You will go hungry, hungry'

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has announced the quota distribution by branch for the recruitment of 15 thousand contract teachers. 

In this context, the top 5 branches with the highest number of appointments were primary school teaching with 4 thousand 378 quotas, special education teaching with 3 thousand 87 quotas, religious culture and moral knowledge teaching with 1802 quotas, preschool teaching with 1321 quotas, and English teaching with 757 quotas.

REACTION FROM MUHARREM İNCE TO APPOINTMENT NUMBERS

Memleket Party Chairman Muharrem İnce made a striking observation based on these figures following the announcement of the quota distribution by branch.

Pointing out that more appointments were made to Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge teaching than to Physics and Mathematics teaching, İnce stated that the result of these appointments would be a departure from science.

In his post, İnce used the following expressions:

"You are being unfair even in teacher appointments. If you make 61 appointments to Physics teaching and 117 to Mathematics teaching, but make 1802 appointments to Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge teaching; you move away from science. And as you move away from science, you continue to become impoverished; you will go hungry, hungry."
