Public attention is now turned to March 9, 2026, the date when the first hearing of the IMM case will be held.
The supplementary folders of the indictment prepared against a total of 402 defendants, including IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, were recently uploaded to the National Judiciary Informatics System (UYAP).
According to the report by Engin Deniz İpek from Cumhuriyet, a notable name appeared when the folders added to the case file were examined.
It has emerged that CHP's Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek, who has been in detention since July 5 as part of a separate investigation into the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, gave testimony as a "witness" within the framework of the IMM investigation.
On the other hand, allegations had surfaced in October that Böcek had applied to the prosecutor's office in Antalya, where he is being held, to benefit from "effective remorse" provisions.
Following these allegations, Muhittin Böcek issued a statement announcing to the public that he had not made any application to benefit from effective remorse.
