The incident occurred yesterday afternoon in the Akcin neighborhood. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out for an unknown reason between incumbent neighborhood mukhtar Halit Kaplan and the family members of rival mukhtar candidate Tuncay Bicil at the Akcin Primary School, where voting was taking place.

As the argument turned into a fight, a young man identified as Y.B., who is reportedly the nephew of the rival mukhtar candidate, stabbed Kaplan in the leg. Following the incident, Kaplan was taken to the hospital by an ambulance that arrived at the scene after bystanders notified authorities, while the individual named Y.B. was taken into custody by the police.

It was learned that Kaplan, who was hospitalized following the incident, is still undergoing treatment and his medical condition remains serious, while it was reported that after the vote count, Halit Kaplan received 310 votes, Tuncay Bicil received 335 votes, and Mehmet Özçınar received 385 votes.
