In a statement, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had said that the AKP is on the same line as Trump and the Netanyahu that Trump supports, adding, "We are on the same side and together with Israel, the Palestine Liberation Organization, Pedro Sanchez, Lula in Brazil, and all the democrats of the world." AKP spokesperson Çelik had reacted by saying, "Özgür Özel mentioning our President in the same sentence as Netanyahu is an example of political patheticness."

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir also made a statement on his social media account drawing attention to the 'political patheticness' response given by the AKP. Evaluating the responses from the AKP front as 'panic and helplessness,' Emir used the following expressions:

"The panic and helplessness of the government spokespeople who attack us over 'Palestine sensitivity' is normal. Because the places where they seek legitimacy and the 'regional partnership' they have entered into have been exposed! Let's talk about the facts beneath your demagoguery.
