"IF I WERE IN THE GOVERNMENT'S PLACE, I WOULD HOLD AN ELECTION TOMORROW"

Noting the other components of the People's Alliance, Gezici said, "When we add parties like the BBP and HÜDAPAR, the rate is over 50. If I were in the government's place, I would hold an election tomorrow. Actually, the government does not want to hold an election right now. The AK Party wants to hold an election when it wants; I think Mr. Erdoğan has a medium and long-term plan for a higher vote share."

"I THINK AN EARLY ELECTION COULD HAPPEN IN 2027"

Gezici continued his speech as follows:

"I think the earliest an election could happen is in 2027. There is huge public support for Erdoğan regarding Syria. He is seen as a savior. The opposition, however, acted very cautiously regarding Syria. Steps were taken back on the Syria issue solely due to anti-Erdoğan sentiment; these were wrong. The Turkey of the past no longer exists. Turkey has now become a country with a major strategy. Erdoğan opened a new chapter in the fight against terrorism together with Devlet Bahçeli."

"87.5 PERCENT OF THE PUBLIC IS WAITING FOR ÖCALAN'S 'LAY DOWN YOUR ARMS' STATEMENT"

This is about Öcalan laying down arms unconditionally. Perhaps this was not understood at first, but we see that support in the public is gradually increasing. We see that 87.5 percent of the public is waiting for Öcalan to come out and say 'lay down your arms.' Almost 80 percent of Kurdish voters also want Öcalan to make such a statement. The PKK is already finished. The main problem is the possibility of the PKK and its extension, the PYD, forming a power in the region. Turkey wants to eliminate this target at its source."
