Murat Kurum invited to the opening of the metro line he promised

Murat Kurum, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) mayoral candidate for the People's Alliance formed by the AKP and MHP, has been invited to the opening of the Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe-Sultanbeyli metro line, which he had promised to build. Murat Ongun, an advisor to IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, stated, "The line you promised is opening on Saturday, March 16, at 13:30. All our citizens are invited. You are, too."

Continuing his local election campaign, the People's Alliance's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) mayoral candidate Murat Kurum remains in the spotlight due to gaffes made during his election rallies.

Speaking at an event he attended the other day, Kurum said, "We will also quickly build our Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe-Sultanbeyli metro line. Our citizens will travel on the metro there in safety and peace."

However, it turned out that the metro line Kurum promised is set to be opened by IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu on March 16.

A response to Kurum's remarks came from İmamoğlu's advisor, Murat Ongun.

In his post, Ongun stated, "The line you promised is opening on Saturday, March 16, at 13:30. All our citizens are invited. You are, too."
