According to the information provided by İmamoğlu, while a total of 53 million liras was paid to the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, millions of liras were transferred to Esenler, Sultangazi, Eyüpsultan, Fatih, and Gaziosmanpaşa in Istanbul.
Furthermore, 2 million liras were sent from Gülibrahimoğlu's company to the Ilim Yayma Society, where Bilal Erdoğan serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, alongside similar foundations.
İmamoğlu spoke as follows while explaining this transfer:
"All of these funds are in the audit reports. You can access them too. I ask the conscience of the public: if this money in these audit reports had gone to a single CHP municipality, wouldn't this prosecutor's office, this prosecution authority, have raided their home tomorrow morning and thrown them in jail? If action needs to be taken, I also want to ask the public conscience why no action has been taken against these municipalities and when it will be taken."
RESPONSE FROM MURAT KURUM
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum responded to İmamoğlu.
Sharing a post on his social media account, Kurum wrote:
"The allegations that the fugitive individual named Murat Gülibrahimoğlu, who came to the agenda in the major corruption case at the İBB, provided financial support to our election campaign are untrue and are a clear slander.
There has never been any support from the person in question to our election campaign.
In this context, targeting our campaign and myself with slanders is, to put it mildly, immoral.
The efforts to change the agenda by those whose corruption has been exposed, whose money towers have collapsed, and who put tape over their immoral relationships are in vain.
No matter what slander you throw, you will not be able to cover up the corruption you have committed."
