Murder at a shopping mall in Sarıyer: Terrifying moments caught on camera!

46-year-old Aras Yılmaz, who was inside his car in the open-air cafe area of a shopping mall in Sarıyer, lost his life as a result of an armed attack. After raining bullets on the vehicle, the assailant pointed his weapon at a passing motorcyclist, got on the back of the bike, and escaped.

The incident occurred yesterday around 00:00 at a shopping mall in the Ayazağa neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Aras Yılmaz, who arrived at the open-air area of the mall where cafes are located in his car with license plate 34 MAV 269, was intercepted by a person wearing a helmet. 

"RAINED BULLETS ON THE VEHICLE"

The assailant drew his weapon and fired 10 shots at Yılmaz through the front windshield of the car. Aras Yılmaz was seriously injured after being struck by 9 bullets in various parts of his body. 

Yılmaz was taken by ambulance to the Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital in Seyrantepe after the initial intervention by medical teams dispatched to the scene upon notification. 

Despite all interventions, Yılmaz lost his life.

"HIJACKED A MOTORCYCLIST AND FLED"

Following the incident, the assailant pointed his weapon at a passing motorcyclist and got on the back of the bike. The assailant, who fled on the hijacked motorcycle, dismantled his weapon and threw it on the ground on Cendere Street. 

"APPREHENDED IN A SHORT TIME"

After a while, the assailant, who was involved in an accident with the motorcyclist, began to flee on foot. However, the assailant, who was pursued by police teams, was caught in a house where he was trying to hide.

"HAD 30 CRIMINAL RECORDS"

It was revealed that the assailant was Mert A. (30), who has 30 criminal records with the police. Mert A., who was taken into custody, was taken to the police station for processing. 

Meanwhile, Aras Yılmaz's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after examinations. The investigation launched by the police regarding the incident is ongoing.
