Murder in Bahçelievler: 4 people arrived on motorcycles and opened fire
Mert Er (23) was targeted by gunfire from 4 individuals on motorcycles last night while preparing to enter his home in Bahçelievler. Er, who was found to have taken refuge in a coffeehouse in a desperate attempt to survive, lost his life at a private hospital where he was taken in an unconscious state. Police efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects are ongoing.

The murder that took 23-year-old Mert Er's life occurred last night around 22:45 on Yıldırım Beyazıt Street in the Zafer Neighborhood of Bahçelievler. While preparing to enter his home with his key, Mert Er was showered with bullets by 4 people on two separate motorcycles. In a desperate state, he took refuge in a coffeehouse while severely wounded. During this time, 2 of the 4 suspects fled by motorcycle, while the other 2 abandoned their motorcycle and fled on foot.
Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The severely wounded Mert Er lost his life at a private hospital in Yenibosna, where he had been taken while unconscious. It was revealed that the motorcycle abandoned while fleeing was stolen. Police teams recovered numerous shell casings during their investigation at the scene. The teams have launched an operation to apprehend the 4 suspects.
