It has been reported that the health condition of musician Soner Olgun, who has been battling pancreatic cancer for some time, has worsened. The 67-year-old artist was taken to the hospital yesterday after his condition deteriorated.

It was learned that Olgun, who was admitted to intensive care, has been intubated. It was noted that the artist had also been hospitalized last month due to a high fever and had been taken home at his own request after receiving treatment in intensive care.

Born on June 18, 1959, in the Fethiye district of Muğla, Soner Olgun completed his primary education in Fethiye. A graduate of Bornova Anatolian High School, Olgun completed his higher education at the Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Theater/Dramatic Writing.

Starting his music career at a young age, Olgun became known for his modern interpretations of tavern music and Turkish Folk Music. Reaching a wide audience with his stage performances, the artist released many albums throughout his career.
