Mustafa Bozbey's prosecutor testimony completed

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey and 56 others, who were taken into custody as part of an investigation conducted by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, have been referred to the courthouse following their processing at the police station.

The prosecutor's interrogation of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey, who was detained along with 56 others, has concluded. The completion of the remaining testimonies is expected.

WHAT HAPPENED?

As part of an investigation conducted by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into charges of 'establishing and managing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes,' 'being a member of an organization established for the purpose of committing crimes,' 'bribery,' 'laundering assets derived from crime,' and 'causing zoning pollution,' detention warrants were issued for 59 people, including Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey and the imprisoned former Nilüfer Mayor Turgay Erdem.

Following the decision, 57 people, including Mustafa Bozbey, were taken into custody on the morning of March 31. It was learned that Ş.G. and T.K., for whom detention warrants were issued, are abroad.

While an additional detention period was obtained for the 57 individuals, they were expected to be referred to the courthouse today following the completion of the testimony procedures.

TRUSTEES APPOINTED TO 7 COMPANIES

On the other hand, within the scope of the investigation in which 57 people, including Mustafa Bozbey, were detained, the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) was appointed as a trustee to 7 companies yesterday (April 1).

The decision taken by the Bursa 3rd Criminal Judgeship of Peace included allegations regarding money transfers between the suspects and the firms, account discrepancies, and the use of some companies as "fronts."
