Mustafa Sandal responds to Hadi Özışık, who targeted him: 'HADİ, get well soon!'

Pro-government journalist Hadi Özışık targeted artist Mustafa Sandal after Sandal shared images of German Chancellor Merz carrying his own luggage during his visit to Turkey, commenting, "This much austerity on prestige is a bit of an exaggeration!" In his response to Özışık, Sandal stated, "In other words, he is saying 'shut up.' Even though he should be an independent and impartial journalist... Since you apparently like my songs; HADİ, get well soon!"

Friedrich Merz, the new Chancellor of Germany—the world's third-largest economy after the US and China—took office last May. Merz's act of carrying his own luggage during his visit to Turkey on Thursday, October 30, received widespread attention on social media.

MUSTAFA SANDAL'S 'PRESTIGE' JIBE

Artist Mustafa Sandal, referencing AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement that "there can be no austerity on prestige," had posted regarding Merz: "This much austerity on prestige is a bit of an exaggeration!"


HADİ ÖZIŞIK TARGETED SANDAL

Pro-government journalist Hadi Özışık had used expressions targeting Sandal in a video he published on his social media account. In the video, Özışık reacted by saying, "Mustafa Sandal, who thinks state administration is a concert stage, must have been very offended by the sight of German Chancellor Merz carrying his suitcase, so he took a jab at Erdoğan in his own way. I don't know about looking for a solution in a suitcase... Sandal, whose songs we like and whom we expect to perform his art, couldn't help but add an applause effect to this suitcase theater."

At the end of the video, Özışık had stated, "I am leaving you to those who follow me. They will teach you the necessary lesson with the comments they make."

Numerous comments were left under Özışık's post. In the comments, which also recalled Hadi Özışık's controversial conversation with Sedat Peker, who was convicted of leading an organized crime group, many criticisms were voiced.

"THINGS HAVE GONE WRONG FOR YOU, HADİ, GET WELL SOON!"

Mustafa Sandal's response to Özışık's words was not delayed. In the message he added to the quoted video, the singer stated the following:

"In other words, he is saying 'shut up.' Even though he should be an independent and impartial journalist... In his final sentence, he targets me by saying, 'They will teach you the necessary lesson in the comments.' I looked at the comments and things have gone wrong for you :) Since you apparently like my songs; HADİ, get well soon!"
