"My dear fellow citizens, my valued friends, I have experienced many events throughout my political life.

I have heard the applause, I have seen the betrayal, but I have never experienced anything like this before.

I thank you very much for the support you gave me throughout the day yesterday and for the prayers you sent.

You stood by me regardless of any political party differences. I felt that energy of yours.

May God be pleased with all of you 100 thousand times over.

But know this, those who commit these betrayals will hopefully receive the punishment they deserve, both in this world and in the hereafter."
